Ghana Reaches Quarterfinals in Mixed Doubles at 2025 African Youth Championships
Ghanaian mixed doubles pair Michael Yeboah and Emerald Bortey have announced their presence on the continental stage at the 2025 African Youth Championships in Luanda, Angola, following an impressive performance in the early rounds of the tournament.
Competing in Group 7, the Ghanaian pair showed class and composure in the group stages, recording emphatic 2–0 victories over Zambia and Mauritius to finish among the top two teams and secure qualification to the knockout rounds. Their strong teamwork and consistency quickly set them apart as serious contenders.
The duo continued their fine form in the round of 16, where they defeated Zimbabwe by another convincing 2–0 scoreline to seal their place in the quarterfinal stage. With momentum firmly on their side, Yeboah and Bortey are carrying Ghana’s hopes forward as the African Youth Championships unfold in Luanda.
