
MICHAEL AGYAPONG MENSAH WINS BRONZE FOR GHANA AT 2025 AFRICAN SCHOOLS GAMES
Ghana’s rising table tennis star, Michael Agyapong Mensah, has clinched a bronze medal in the Boys’ Singles event at the maiden African Schools Games in Algeria, marking a proud moment for the nation.
A Form One student of Opoku Ware Senior High School, Michael impressed throughout the competition with his determination, skill, and composure against some of the continent’s finest young talents
In the round of 16, Michael swept aside Bradley Camille Marseill of Cameroon with a commanding 3–0 victory.
He then produced one of the matches of the tournament in the quarter-finals, overcoming Uganda’s top seed Luwooza Imran in a thrilling 4–3 battle to book his spot in the semifinals.
In the semi-final, Michael faced a tough challenge against Madagascar’s Steffe Rahndy Rakotondrazaka. Despite a spirited effort, he was edged out, missing a shot at the gold medal matc

Bouncing back with resilience, Michael delivered a brilliant performance in the bronze medal match, defeating Tunisia’s Mechergui Anas 3–1 to secure Ghana’s place on the podium.
